What does “Vidsy recommended” mean?
In short, this means that this video has been shared with the client along with notes from Vidsy about why this video is strong, with great potential to work well for their campaign objectives.
How are videos selected for the recommended shortlist?
On every campaign, we work with multiple creators at the same time, producing a diverse range of video creative across multiple concepts.
After all the videos are submitted, the Vidsy team works together to draw up a diverse shortlist that shows the best videos from each concept for the client to choose from.
We call this unique production process, “Creative Exploration”.
Is there a direct link between video rating and the recommended shortlist?
Not necessarily. As we have multiple versions of the same video concept within the original brief (video 1, video 2, etc). we will shortlist only the best of the videos per concept. The number we shortlist varies depending on the client’s request, and the number of creative concepts required.
For this reason, it may not be your strongest video that is shortlisted, but one that stands out against similar creative concepts from all the submissions.
Other times, you might see that a video that is selected for the shortlist has a low rating on one of the categories e.g. followed the brief. In this instance, although you may have missed something crucial in your video, it’s easily fixed in your After Effects file and the other aspects of the video showed enough promise that we think it still has great potential for the client.
How does the shortlist relate to bonuses?
Videos that are selected for the Vidsy recommended shortlist will receive an initial bonus. If the client decides to use that video for their campaign then that bonus will increase.
