The Goal
To drive downloads and user registrations of the UKTV Play app by communicating that the great content available is free to watch.
The Direction
We explored two distinct creative directions to ensure variety within the content - utilising impactful copy and a mix of footage:
Comedy Spotlight - as home to a huge variety of great comedy talent and shows, we utilise these ‘laughs’ to communicate to the audience that they can experience all the comedy via the UKTV Play app - for free!
No Brainer - using reaction shots and emotions to help visualise and communicate the feeling of watching TV you love on the UKTV Play app, for free!
Considerations
Focussing on in-feed first, we’ve made sure we tap into platform and creative best practices:
Brand - strong brand and proposition presence
Impact - grabs and holds attention from the off
Consumable - easily digestible and engaging within the feed
Messaging - clear and concise, delivering no-nonsense effective information
Variance - unique variables meaning you can test to understand what is engaging with consumers to influence future content
