✅ The Objective

This campaign is all about establishing Rakuten as the top option to earn cash back for your special-occasion buys this summer.

We’ve leveraged distinct branding, product photos and tailored messaging to paint a vivid picture: Rakuten is here to put cash in your pocket all summer long — they’ll even pay you to get started.


⭐️ The Creative

We’ve created content for three different tracks, all specific to a special summer occasion:

  • Father’s Day: Here, we open by reminding our audience that Father’s Day is fast approaching, but your search for Dad’s gift is easier than you think..

  • Graduation: Capped with some graduation-specific visuals, these videos showcase the variety of items that you can save on, whether it’s for gifting or for treating yourself.

  • Independence Day & Canada Day: We end with a celebration, as positive vibes and visuals accompany outdoor essentials.


📱 The Placements

Targeting Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube, we made sure to tap each platform’s best practices and considerations.

  • RECOGNIZABLE - The Rakuten logo is featured prominently in each piece of content, while messaging and visuals are consistent with past portrayals of the brand identity.

  • FOCUSED - Each video is consumable, direct and easy to digest in a news feed, story or YouTube bumper.

  • IMPACTFUL MESSAGING - Each piece of content features contextually relevant messaging to cut through the clutter and tell the story of savings.
