The Goal

To drive new users to the MandM Direct site by communicating the MandM Direct proposition in a clear, relatable and authentic way, without replying on brand names or product.


The Direction

Within this brief we explored 2 creative routes to ensure variety within the content:

  • That Feeling When… - shot in a relatable way, using solely customer expressions and emotions with complimentary overlays we communicate the MandM Direct purchasing process

  • Proud to be Different - to dispel any too good to be true thinking we’ll utilise an influencer/vlogger style approach to tell compelling MandM brand stories and explain how MandM ensure the customer always get the biggest brands for the lowest prices


Considerations

Focussing on YouTube TrueView for Action (16:9) and built for mobile first, we’ve made sure we tap into placement and social creative best practices:

  • Attract - grabbing attention in a number of ways and hooking the audience in

  • Brand - strong brand & proposition presence

  • Connect - relatable, authentic and easily digestible

  • Direct - clear and concise messaging
